29：消防隊 ーFirefighterー
当ホテルには、1909年（明治42年）にスタッフにより結成された防火組織「消防隊」がありました。
Our hotel had a fire prevention organization called the "Fire Brigade" that was formed by the staff in 1909 (Meiji 42).
当時は金谷眞一を隊長として三班で構成され、施設の防火を独自で担っていました。
初期の出立ちは、旧陸軍の軍服にゲートルを巻いて半纏をまとうスタイルでした。
写真には提灯を手に持ち、ホースを肩に掛ける様子が写っています。
また、放水試験などの様子も記録写真に残っています。
At the time, the unit was made up of three teams led by Kanaya Shinichi, and was responsible for fire prevention at the facility.
In their early days, they dressed in old army uniforms, gaiters and haori coats.
Photographs show them holding lanterns and carrying hoses over their shoulders.
